Neo-Gothic reliquary calendar - Lot 22
Neo-Gothic reliquary calendar presenting the 365 days of the year under twelve arches, with a relic of the corresponding saint. They are affixed to small pieces of colored paper on a silk background, topped by a band of gilded paper embossed with oak-leaf motifs. The rectangular base is adorned with a frieze of six openwork quatrefoils. Second half of the 19th century. Dimensions: 47.5 x 28.5 x 11 cm. A few missing pieces. Similar examples are in the Musée des arts religieux de l'Orne and the Musée départemental d'art religieux de Normandie.
