First edition of this rare regional study on the virtues of the most famous of the Umbelliferae. After a classic botanical description, the author, formerly a civil and military hospital physician based in La Rochelle, sets out all the therapeutic virtues associated with the use of carrots. In the preface, we learn that this treatise is the fruit of thirty-five years' work; it contains a large collection of very precise observations on serious pathological cases entirely resolved by the use of this plant. It should be noted that these pathologies are most often related to dermatological problems. Spine very worn, first five leaves soiled, pale wetness affecting last four leaves.
